Nevada: Earthquake Swarm hits 43 in 7 Days

An earthquake swarm continued this morning with eight small tremblers rumbling in the area of Arrow Creek south west of Reno.
They all occured between midnight and 3 am. The highest magnitude was 2.4 according to USGS.
It's the latest in a swarm of quakes that have hit the area. The latest swarm happened last weekend with 21 small quakes centered in the same area.
The largest in that sequence was a magnitude 3. Ken Smith of the Nevada Seismology Lab told us these swarms are typical.
"So far the earthquakes have been pretty small. You may remember two years ago the earthquakes up in Mogul and Summerset damaged some buildings and lasted several months. But its not unusual to have a series of little earthquakes like this."
