A 5.8-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Indonesia's Sumatra island, the US Geological Survey says, but there were no tsunami warnings issued.
The undersea quake hit at a depth of 34km, 158km south-east of Bengkulu on Sumatra, at 2.20am (6.20am AEDT), the USGS said.
There were no tsunami warnings in place according to the Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre.
There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage
