SARNIA, Ont. - Trees in and around Sarnia are dying in the wake of
unusually hot and dry conditions in the area this month.
Several trees in the city are showing signs of drought, including
wilting and yellowing leaves.
Even evergreen trees are showing the strain, with their needles turning
red or purple.
Sarnia usually receives about 77 millimetres of rain in August.
This year it has seen only about half that, at 39 millimetres, and the
month almost over.
