Great Earthquakes in Diverse Places
Series of 12 quakes reported in Arkansas since Saturday

Twelve earthquakes have been reported in Faulkner County since
Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey website.
Saturday’s quake, a 1.3 magnitude, occurred at 7:57 a.m. two miles
south-southeast of Guy.
Four earthquakes were reported Sunday with the first, a 1.7 magnitude,
occurring at 1:44 a.m. one mile east-southeast of Guy. The second quake
with a 1.5 magnitude was reported at 7:31 a.m. one mile south of Guy.
Two of Sunday’s earthquakes occurred one mile southeast of Guy. The
first, a 1.3 magnitude, was felt at 12:39 p.m., while the second was
recorded as a 1.2 magnitude at 3:47 p.m.
Monday saw four earthquakes added to the USGS records. A 1.5 magnitude
quake occurred at 1:16 a.m. two miles south of Guy, followed by a
second, a 1.5 magnitude, at 1:49 a.m. two miles southeast of Guy and a
third, a 1.4 magnitude, at 1:52 a.m. two miles south-southeast of Guy.
The fourth earthquake that registered a 1.4 magnitude occurred at 3:21
a.m. two miles southeast of Guy.
Tuesday’s 1.4 magnitude quake was recorded at 7:09 a.m. two miles
south-southeast of Guy. A 1.5 magnitude earthquake occurred Wednesday
at 7:38 a.m. one mile northeast of Enola. An earthquake with a 1.1
magnitude was reported Thursday at 12:19 a.m. two miles south-southeast
of Guy.
