Russia: More than 100 Forest Fires rage across Siberia

More than 100 forest fires broke out in the eastern part of
Russia's Siberia, affecting more than 57,000 hectares of land,
Russia's Itar-Tass news agency said Thursday.
Thirty-six of these fires were still under attack by firefighters
and fires are still raging in the Transbaical region where 34
large blazes have engulfed an area of 52,000 hectares, the report
said.
Some 3,450 personnel and 583 units of fire-fighting equipment have
been mobilized to fight the blazes.
