California: Two Earthquakes Rattle San Fransisco Bay Area

Another 2.4 magnitude earthquake jolted the area today at 4:55 p.m., according to the US Geological Survey. It was centered 3 miles west of Millbrae.

Update: 3:30 p.m.

A second earthquake with a magnitude of 1.4 struck at 3 p.m. It was centered about 2 miles southwest of San Bruno, according to the US Geological Survey.

BART stopped its trains briefly to inspect the tracks after the first earthquake. Trains are running at normal speeds again but 10-minute delays are reported system-wide.

A 3.4 magnitude earthquake shook parts of the Bay Area at 2:57 p.m. today.

The quake was centered about 3 miles west of Millbrae and 2 miles southeast of Pacifica, according to the US Geological Survey.

No power outages were reported in Millbrae, according to PG&E.

Today marks the 105th anniversary of the 1906 earthquake.
