New Zealand: Large undersea earthquake hits off coast of
South Island

A strong 5.4-MAGNITUDE earthquake has struck off New Zealand's
Fiordland coast of the South Island.
The quake was recorded at 8.07am (6.07am AEDT) today, 130km west
of Te Anau at a depth of 33km, Geonet said.
It was felt as far away as Christchurch, and in Te Anau,
Queenstown and Luggate, where it was categorised as "largely
observed".
