Strong Earthquake rocks West Java*

A 5.4-magnitude earthquake rocked Ciamis regency, West Java at 7.25 a.m.
on Sunday, causing panicked resident to flee their homes.

�We are worried that there will be a big quake just like that in
September last year,� Ating, a resident of Ciparigi, Ciamis, said as
quoted by Antara as saying.

The tremor was felt in Ciamis around three to four seconds. Residents
preferred to stay outside their homes for 15 minutes to anticipate any
aftershocks.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said the
epicenter of the earthquake was located 84 kilometers south west of
Tasikmalaya at a depth of 14 kilometers.
