Bulgaria Tremor Takes Quake Tally Close to 300
A total of 300 earthquakes with an epicenter near the
Bulgarian-Macedonian-Greek borders have been registered since Sunday

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3 on the Richter scale struck about
160 kilometers southwest of the Bulgarian capital Sofia, outside the
territory of the country, officials announced.
The tremor, which was registered about half an hour before midnight, was
not felt in the capital Sofia.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
A total of 300 earthquakes with an epicenter near the
Bulgarian-Macedonian-Greek borders have been registered since Sunday
afternoon.
The shakes had a magnitude of between 2 and 5,4 on the Richter scale,
the Geophysical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences reported.
The epicenter of the quakes was close to the Doiran Lake on the
Macedonian-Greek border.
