Hi Guys
   It seems that this Friday, April the 9th, is the best day for  most
people to put in the irrigation system. I hope most of you can be there.
   Mr. Peterson, can you speak to the custodians about our  staying late?
    Also, Mr. Peterson has informed me that there will be a  ribbon cutting
ceremony for the garden on May 1st. I'll try to get the  garden looking
good before then. I will shop for some colorful annuals and do  some pruning,
bring in some plants from my garden and some general cleaning up.  If anyone
has any ideas about things we can do to make the garden look great for  that
day, let me know. If you have plants or decorative objects, chimes,  
anything good looking that you'd like to donate, that would be great...
   I will be at the garden from 3 pm on this friday...just come  when you
can...i'll try to have things started...
I'm getting a little worried about time...it could get really warm at any  
time now...and we won't have a full irrigation system put in...so i guess
the  plan would be that if things look like they're working on friday, we do
the rest  of the ordering imediately...right?

I have about a dozen small plants similar to the picture below that I
started from cuttings--no flowers but very colorful.

That is great news!
..I was about to say...
They calculated 14-18 days and they really processed the order on March 18th so...I was getting nervous.

Please please get the kids to help - there may very well be large pieces to it. Audrey Banks volunteers for sure.

Only problem is BHSEC needs to supply manpower/woman power to get it off
the truck. The estimated weight is 325lbs and the custodial staff is
balking at the task.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi Cathy,

Did they give an estimated time when the delivery will arrive?  I can
volunteer to help unload it.  It would be best if the truck could be brought
into the yard so that the shed is dropped off somewhere near where it will
be permanently setup.  The unassembled boxes will also need to be laid on
top of a couple of pieces of wood and covered with a piece of tarp so that
it doesn't get wet in the rain before we assemble it.  I can bring the tarp
and a couple of 2"x4" x 4' pieces of wood to use as well.

Makes sense to me Sonia.  We should probably be planning another group
planting and assembly session as well.  The irrigation system parts came
pretty quick the last time so we might as well book a date now.  Do we have
a little extra money for 4 or 5 flats of flowers by any chance?

I spoke with Preston twice in the past 45 minutes - hes trying to call the company  but he thinks they are at lunch....
The only suggestion he had was , if the truck guys can unload it - then perhaps someone ( Cathy?) at the school can call Tim and he can come over?
Save time that way.

Ill let you know the second I know, and I will keep calling..

Spoke to Preston/Lowes  and he said the trucking company should have given us a 4 hour window. Nothing more concrete than that. Hes been unable to reach them. Hope it comes soon and it is not too unwieldy.
