Don’t miss out on the biggest event of the summer!
The Relay For Life of West Bloomfield is here! It starts this Saturday morning at 10 am and runs through Sunday morning at 10 am at the West Bloomfield High School track. It’s a huge fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Come hang out at the West Hills tent and help fight an important cause. There are so many fun things to do there including inflatables, airbrush tattoos, a bubble foam pit, dunk tank, Relay Idol, a silent auction, 24-hour DJ, carnival games, lots of food, and tons of people! Come at 10 am on Saturday to honor all cancer survivors during the Opening Survivor Lap. Come back at 10 pm on Saturday for the moving Luminaria Ceremony where we remember those lives lost and why we need to continue fighting against cancer.
Here’s how you can help!
** Make a donation. Go to http://main..acsevents.org/goto/westhillsmiddleschool and click Donate to make an online donation with your credit card. Or write a check to the American Cancer Society. You can bring the check to the West Hills tent at Relay or put it in the Relay For Life envelope in the West Hills office.
** Walk around the track at Relay. You’ll get good exercise while joining our community and the West Hills Relay team in fighting cancer.
** Enroll in CPS-3, an important cancer study. If you’re between 30-65 years old and have never had cancer, it only takes about 20 minutes to enroll in this study. Come between 11:30-3:30 on Saturday. Help us find a cure!
** Donate your hair. Come between 3-6 pm and have 10 inches of your hair cut. This will help to make wigs for kids from our area who have cancer.
** Invite everyone to join you. We’d like to see as many people as possible at Relay. See you on Saturday!
