Maybe it's a promotion for The Emperor's New Clothes?

Weird I am getting the white page from Firefox, but everything works fine from Chrome (on the same machine)

Cheers,

Fraser

Same here…. Safari serves blank pages but Chrome is working. C'mon guys, get it together.

You simply need to delete the boardgamegeek.com cookie in whatever browser you're using and it all works fine.

That doesn't work under Chrome.

In fact, under Chrome I get the error:

Server error

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://boardgamegeek.com/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Here are some suggestions:

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

It's not working for me in Chrome either, but it does work in IE. :yuk:

Still works fine for me in Chrome, but not in Firefox.  Interestingly enough I am having exactly the same problem with trybooking.com

I don't see any problem at all... BGG homepage is loading fine on this
side, even with Firefox 21...

It's working for me now.

However, I did have to CTRL-F5 it in Chrome to get it to load.

boardgamegeek.com seems to work.
www.boardgamegeek.com does not work.

Doesn't work in Chrome for me, I cleared my cache, cookies, relaunched the browser. reset my ip address.
But works on MSIE.  doh!

For Chrome users, I finally worked it out.
Since my MSIE was working, and I tried everything.  resetting my IP address, and cache and cookies...it had to be my Chrome settings.
Then found another checkbox which was separate from the Cookies and Cache.  It's "Clear data from hosted apps".
Try that on your Chrome, and see if it'll work.

I think the difference is www.boardgamegeek.com vs. boardgamegeek.com

When I added the www. which my normal bookmark doesn't have it worked fine for me.

Site appears to have been up the whole time.

We had 3 servers misbehaving and were not rebooted last night - sorry for the inconvenience.
