Topic: SCA and Java EE -- the next generation of SOA

Lecturer: Peter Peshev (Development Architect – Java Server; SCA spec Expert group member)

Outline: The Open SOA Collaboration represents an informal group of industry leaders (including like SAP, IBM, Oracle, BEA, Sun, Tibco) that share a common interest: defining a language-neutral programming model that meets the needs of enterprise developers who are developing software that exploits Service Oriented Architecture characteristics and benefits. SCA is a set of specifications developed under Open SOA which describe a model for building applications and systems using a Service-Oriented Architecture. On the other hand the Java EE platform is the industry standard for developing enterprise applications on the Java platform. This presentation shows how Java EE technology-based applications can benefit from the SOA principles of  SCA
