Banking and Finance Society Members,
Our last meeting of the semester will be held this Wednesday, April 15 at 6:00 pm. It will be in room 147 of the Miller Learning Center (MLC). Duff and Phelps, a financial valuation firm, will be the presenting company. Dress is business casual, and pizza and drinks will be provided.
The Economics Society of UGA has two upcoming events that all of you are invited to participate it:
What: Tour of Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank; Professor Moore of the Economics department has been kind enough to set up this tour for us with the Director of Economics Education at the bank.
When: Friday, April 24th at 3 p.m. We will be leaving Athens at 1:15 p.m. and carpooling down to Atlanta. The tour will last roughly two hours and then we will eat dinner and head back to Athens.
Important: For anybody who is planning on attending the tour you MUST RSVP to Brandon Grant at bgra...@gmail.com, by this Sunday (April 12) at 5 pm. A list of attendees must be submitted to the Fed by Monday, April 13th or our tour will be canceled.
What: Athens First Bank Presentation featuring A. Middleton Ramsey, the Executive Vice President and second-in-command at the bank. He will be describing an array of topics related to the banking business and how banking functions have changed given the current recession.
When: Tuesday, April 21st at 6 p.m.
Where: MLC, room # TBD (we will inform you as soon as the room is confirmed)
