Hello everyone,
I was just curious to know if there are any extensions/options that
hide the uppermost bar in Gmail (the one that usually begins with
"Gmail Calendar Document Reader") or if that idea is in the works
either for a future version of better gmail for firefox or chrome?
It's not really the whole bar that I want to hide, mainly the Reader
button so that I'm not tempted read things I don't need to! (yes, I'm
considering deleting all my feeds in Reader as well, though exporting
a backup just in case too).

I suppose an even cooler idea would be to do a fade like the Google
homepage has currently, except that the upper bar would only appear
when you moused over it.

Thanks for all the work you guys do, I'm enjoying using the extension
on Chrome now!

Gina used to actively develop the extensions but has stopped doing
that now and only compiles them into the extension that we see in our
browsers. She relies on other developers to do the hard work of
designing and developing the extension and then they or someone else
can suggest it is added to Gina's Better extensions.

Do a search of userscripts.org and see if someone has already made a
script that does what your after if so it shouldn't be too hard to get
it added in the next release.

Regards

Nathaniel

Hi Nathaniel,
Thanks for your response, sorry for the delayed reply. One script that
might work is this one: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/8682

There might be a couple of others, too, in which case I will post
those as well.
