Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD, an app you want
to package and distribute , or create your own linux distro. Give SUSE
Studio a try. www.susestudio.com.
See you at Southeast Linux Fest, June 8-10, 2012 in Charlotte, NC.

I don't see it as a problem that Chuck Payne posted to this list. You
would think that anyone using Linux might have more than a passing
interest in Linux expos and events wherever they might be, whether
they can make them or not.
But that's me, and your mileage may vary.

This is true. How many folks NOT named Larry Cafiero are going to
Linux Fest Northwest from this area? Several, I hope, and the more the
merrier.

Meaning . . . what exactly? I would say that having an increasingly
popular Linux event, now in its 10th or 11th year, in Microsoft's
backyard would be something you'd be proud of. You're not? I am.

Meaning . . . what exactly? That Chuck and I are the same person? I've
met Chuck Payne and I can tell you he's no Larry Cafiero.

Yes, go figure, indeed. But while you're doing that, think about this:
If you're going to LFNW, I'll be presenting on an intro to CrunchBang
and you're all welcome to attend. If you can't attend my talk, we'll
have a CrunchBang table set up at Linux Fest Northwest -- stop by and
say hello. If you can't make it to Bellingham, I'm sure the LFNW site
will have the talk recorded.

I think you got that wrong. I expounded, as you put it, on the usual
Ubuntu practices of putting themselves first while not contributing
much back to FOSS in general, and how I am no longer contributing,
however slightly, to Canonical/Ubuntu in any shape or form, which is
unfortunate because until a few days ago I was an Xubuntu user since
2006. Perhaps you should read the blog yourself.

Ironic in what way? Grantbow and pleia2 are a great combo as speakers
for the BALUG meeting -- kudos all around. Everyone should make it to
that meeting.
Oh, and thanks for the mention,
Larry Cafiero
FOSS evangelist, so says goossbears
I thought maybe someone would love to give a talk in the dirty south.

I'd submit a paper for a talk, Chuck, but I don't fly (my arms get
tired), and Charlotte is 86 hours by train (not a typo: 86) from
Oakland. And since when is the south dirty?
