Would anyone know if there is an expected life on the OEM plastic holding tanks on the 411's? I am begining to believe that at some point, like the hoses odors will permeate the plastic and the only solution is replacement. If replacement is the decision would you stay with plastic or move to custom made Aluminium or Stainless?
Thanks,

Plastic is best for this use… and generally they last a long, long time.  That said I have a one from the forward head from 411 model that is for sale, was hardly used.

I would imagine that with the tank being below decks and not subject to UV degradation that life would be 20+ years

Merrill, replaced the rear tank last year with a Ronco, they have a good web site, lots of sizes and will put the fittings in any location you want.

In my case I have a clean out port, separate outlet for the macerator.

All for about 120$

Wall is about 50% thicker than todd. Good value.

Thanks Fletch,
Did you change yours due to smell or for other reasons?

I installed a macerator, wanted a dedicated outlet from the top. Also made the size fit better. They give 50 percent to the trade

We installed a Bronco too

Thicker wall sizes than Todd
Put top mount fittings only (gravity and holding tank contents are not for me) with 'dip tubes for separate macerator discharge and deck pump out
Also added port and starboard 3/4" vents for crossflow
