Wanted: Sailboat for Kids

Hello Fellow Beneteau Owners,

My 12 yr old son is dying for a small sailboat to call his own this
Christmas and I'm searching to find a usable used boat like an older
Sunfish/Pico/Laser/Zuma in the $500 - $1,000 price range.

If anyone here is interested in selling something that fits that
description or knows of anyone who may be, please let me know.

I'm located in central Virginia but am willing to drive a fair
distance to pick something up or pay to have it shipped.

My 12 yr. old son is on his second Sunfish. The first was an old beater that
finally came apart on a rough day. We found his second on Craig's List for
right around $1000 depending on age and condition. They seem to be hovering
there, any cheaper and it may be a POS.
There are a ton out there.

A Laser would be too much for him.

Pico and Zuma I don't know much about. But I don't think they perform all
that well. They don't make the Zuma anymore (I think) Also look at the new
Bic sailor, it looks fun. But it's brand new meaning $$$$

IMO; It's just hard to top "a boy and his sunfish"
