Hi everyone,
I always liked even numbers. So what I'm saying, is, 2008 should be awesome. Or else it's back to odds. Actually, 2007 was pretty good. We played 40 shows, I think, and I just changed my guitar strings once. 2007 also brought the relocation of a good Seattle friend, who went ahead and set up a band with shows and tours and everything already...but Durham is kinda like that. Check them out
here. 2008 will bring the relocation of another good friend, who some might know as
Tofu Mama. He just bought a house in the East end of Durham. And '07 brought, after a lot of work, the official formation of the neighborhood Rob and I live in,
Cleveland-Holloway.
Big thanks to the Indy for the article on my documentary
Seeing Through the Fence
. The premiere just sold out today. It's on Sunday 1/6. Also, huge thank yous to everyone who has helped me get this out there in so many ways. I am grateful that one of our favorite bands will be playing for that, the
Wigg Report! And Chef Shirle is catering - check out her new blog
Rockin' the Stove (it goes to 11). And of course
Manbites Dog Theater is beyond awesome for hosting this.
Beloved Binge is spending some time playing regional shows, and probably won't be playing the Triangle until March-ish. We are also planning a few mini-tours up North, out West, and down South. The tours will include screenings & activism as noted on our Myspace blog. So come say hello if you're in any of those directions. We're posting all our shows
here. Next show is 1/18 in Greenville at the Spazzatorium.
The new album, Blender Theory, should be out by March! OH, and we just sold our van! So it will be little Tercel all the way.
Feel free to check out "
x-mas with the binges" and other updates there. Keep us posted on your things too. Please?
