BASIC TECHNIQUE- NEW! Introduction to Rhythms!
7-8PM TUESDAYS Upstairs studio
We will continue to feature live drumming by Majda and continue working on
our knowledge of common rhythms used in Middle Eastern Music. This is an
essential session for any belly dance student. Each week we will use a few
basic belly dance moves to explore a different rhythm. These are solid
basics for any bellydance style- Tribal, Egyptian, Turkish, etc.
ATS (American Tribal Style) BELLY DANCE
7-8pm THURSDAYS Downstairs studio
Improvisational Choreography in the Fat Chance format with an Awalim flair.
This is the class that will give you the foundation that all Tribal dancers
use. Working as a group will be emphasized. At least one session of Basic
Technique required. Bring zills/finger cymbals

TRIBAL BOOT CAMP: Drills, Skills & Zills! Choreography Session
8-9:30PM THURSDAYS Downstairs studio
The first 6 weeks will cover a choreography for the upcoming Halloween Red
Light, Kavarna and Nicola shows! This class is focused on drills to increase
technique and stamina. This class is open to any and all whether they have
completed any of my prior classes but it is not for a complete beginner. The
class structure will be a high energy warm up with zills, layered traveling
drills for the entire class, combos w/ zills and a cool down with yoga and
floorwork at the end. Zills required and shoes highly recommended.

11-noon SUNDAYS *starting the 16th of Aug, Fall schedule will be handed out
at class*
Improvisational Choreography with Awalim! Class will exclusively work in
chorus formation and with zills. Class is required for upcoming ATS
performances for Halloween Red Light, Kavarna and Nicola's.
