A Makerbot?  Kewl!  Bunch of junk could be good too.  But what is a mendle?

I have a good collection of tools that I could contribute, including some power tools.

My skills are mainly in electronics and soldering, including SMDs. A little experience in PCB layout and fabrication.

My interests include robotics, Arduino/microcontroller projects, ham radio, and electronic projects.  I've also in the past done darkroom work (including mixing scratch color chemistry) and had an interest in alternative photography.

What about you, Mike?  What are you into?

We've got four members now after a little over two weeks. Please spread the word!  I'd like to get a group of people together to meet and discuss how to move forward.
Cheers,

-Mert

knowledge: i'm a geology student, i've had a lotta fun with chemistry doing things like making thermite and high energy explosives from house hold/hardware store ingredients -the chemistry is very cool but i've given it a rest in last year or so for my legal safety (i dont know how legal it is which kinda worried me).. i have a lotta knowledge on that stuff though. potato cannons come to mind. i can make those & they're a blast and people can get pretty advanced with them... i'd like to expand on that stuff.. i use to make my own model rockets and think it would be cool to try make'n my own rocket engines/propellants -i know it can be done from things you buy at the hardware store (like stump remover!)
thats about all that comes to mind at the moment.. -i have access to an arc welder in bellevue an hour and a half south of there, not sure if i could move it yet but i bet that could come in handy i bet.
