Just Got this email through. Might be pretty decent to be going along
to. The one last year was good. This one sounds better.
Hello Everyone,
I am pleased to announce that the 2012 Kingdom of Mourne Tournament
will be held on Saturday 23rd June at Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor.
Kilbroney Park is an excellent venue for the event, and a big
improvement to last years tournament course, with a lot more terrain
challenges and obstacles, all set in a beautifuly landscaped setting.
This year we play a 36 hole format, first 18 hole round played in the
morming and second 18 in the afternoon, with combined round scores
sorting out the trophies for the winners.
Divisions are open, junior (15 and under) and team (of 3). Sandwiches
and tea/coffe are included in your entry fee, and there is a cafe/shop
in the grounds should you want something more substantial.
The event will be filmed for broadcast on Disc Golf Planet TV, so look
your best!
At time of this email, a local charity has expressed an interest in
using the event as a fundraiser, which could help boost the player
numbers and event promotion. Watch this space!
As previous tournament players, can I encourage you to spread the word
about this event, it helps to promote our sport and improve tournament
attendence. There is also a possibility for the council to provide a
permanent course here if I can prove the case that sufficient numbers
of people actually play the sport.

As crap as I know I am at disc golf, I fancy a go at this. Might try
promoting our Summer League there, maybe hussel a few more players
into the league!

Lads to bring this back to the top again.
I have heard rumours that they are turning this competition into a British Championship event.
So They may allow people to use ultra stars like last year.
But if you want to mix it up with the propper disc golfers here is a link to get some disc golf discs from GASP
I am going to Ignore Sich/Glover and marco who all told me never ever ever throw a disc golf disc again because of safety fears! and because I suck at it!!
Screw you im gettin a whole set and getting my practise on!!!! :D

This tournament was sweet; as soon as I get full use of my right hand

Would a duffer like me benefit at all from having a proper disc golf

you can bring your best game on the day. If you can get down to
Rostrevor on Tuesday 5th June, 12pm - 4pm, there will be a practise
session happening and you can get an idea of how the tournament course
will play. It's informal, so drop by if you can and have a throw or 2.
Also, check out the facebook page for some Discraft instructional
videos. Handy info!

was chatting to matt....the guy from bristol helping gary.
There is a "party" in a pub in rosstrevor saturday night to make it worthwhile for the ones travelling from england as its now part of their tour. Open to everyone I believe.
