Hello all,
Laochemi (www.laochemi.cn) and Trek in Chengdu are organising a race on the
3rd of September and are offering a 'race special' package tour for the
racers @200 RMB (race reg, hotels for two nights, food and mini Chengdu
panda tour on the 4th). Please see details below and attached Excel file. It
should be quite interesting although the race is really only of interest to
male (!) road racers (80K according to what I have been told), as the MTB
distance at 20K (male and female) is of no great use to anybody.
Unfortunately the package is only for the racers, the price for eg race +
companion is 1000 RMB. Given that the flight to Chengdu is about 1500 RMB
return from Beijing at the cheapest you need to balance this out.

1. Folding bike can not race in Chengdu.
2. MTB race is 20K( female and male), the course is flat road.
3. About the arrival flight, I believe we can book the same flight go
there and return.( arrival time should be around 9 PM Friday, and back time
is 7PM Sunday)
4. The Jintang,where host race, near chengdu about 40 mins driving.
5. About your bikes and luggage: your luggage can leave at Friday
nite-stay hotel, after race, you can leave bikes for bike shop guys( the
bike will directly sent to airport on Sunday nite),take personal luaages
with your and drive to next hotel, begin the tour trip.
6. 1000 RMB/racer+ one friend, 450 RMB/ child under 8 yrs old;
900RMB/child 8+ years old

The race is organized by Ms. Yang, the boss of Laochemi Club. Her club is
the biggest one in Sichuan with 4 bike stores in Chengdu. The race will have
road bike and mtb bike race. as the route is flat, I strongly recommend your
guys to join in the 80km road race. It'l be more competitive and
challengeable.
Except the race, she is also offering a wonderful tour for foreign riders
with Jiling Hutong, Panda Base and Dujiangyan Dam. of course, the hot-pot
food is included. This is a special package for your guys with only 200yuan
fee, with the above listed touring and 2 nights hotel,and transportation in
Chengdu. for details,please have a look of the attachments.
Onlyway, personally I think it's a worth to have the race and tour in
