Hello Everyone,

I wanted to let you know of some changes that are occurring within the Ohio BOW program.  We have hired a new Aquatic Education Coordinator named Nick Jamison.  He comes to us with experience in Fish Management from GA and FL and he has a master’s degree in Biology from Tennessee Tech University.

We have begun to transition Nick into the role of state BOW coordinator and fazing me out.  Matt Ortman and I were co-coordinating these past years and will be stepping down after this year’s workshop with Nick fully taking over.  This is in line with the way things used to be when I was the Aquatic Ed Coordinator and was running it on my own.  This will be a good transition as I feel this program needs a fresh pair of eyes and enthusiasm and Nick is great for that.

If you have any questions about this year’s workshop, which will be October 5-7th, feel free to email us at aquatic....@dnr.state.oh.us as we’ll all be working on this year’s program.  But please also take some time to welcome Nick to his new position.

Thanks, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know all of you.  I’ll still be around as an instructor, so don’t be a stranger!

Take care,

Jen
