Subject: SUSPECT: Wild Outdoor Women Campout details
Stark Parks invites women over 18 to gather up their girlfriends and experience an over-night retreat at the Fry Family Park near East Sparta from noon to noon on Sept. 15 and 16.
The campout will offer opportunities for hiking, kayaking, fishing, decorating your own hiking stick, campfire building, making a bird feeder, a natural spa workshop, stargazing and wild animal education. Participants are encouraged to use their own camping equipment. Extra tents and camping equipment are available if needed.
The cost is $25 for Stark County residents and $35 for non-residents. Campers must be 18 or older. Register in person at the Exploration Gateway, 5712 12th St. NW, Canton, or by calling 330.409.8096. Registration deadline is Sept. 8.
Fry Family Park is located at 2533 Farber St. SE, Magnolia. The 327-acre property features rolling topography with a mixture of grasslands, hardwood forests, a pond, wetlands and a stream. Songbirds, game birds, raptors, large and small mammals inhabit this rural area in southern Stark County.
