"Computers are to biology what mathematics is to physics" Harold Morowitz

The purpose of this Google group is to provide a forum to discuss general interest literature that relates to bioinformatics, computational biology, and complexity, specifically the possibility of modeling an entire organism in silico. The "Beer" part of the forum name comes from the fact that I set aside a couple hours each week to sip a brew at a local pub while reading about bioinfo, or whatever interests me. If you are in the Seattle area, you are invited to drop by for a beer and join the discussion. RSVP here (include BBB or BeBoBio in the subject). If you can't attend a meeting feel free to start an online discussion or post relevant material.
