Surely you can do this. It's just a third party lib. Just use it like others python lib.

I am working with OpenERP 6.1.1 and python 2.7 on a synology DS412+ 

For the banking module i need to install beautifulsoup.

My questions are now:

1. Is it possible to download beautifulsoup, extract it and copy it in to the right directory without an "install command".

2. If yes, to which directory must it be copied and in which form.

3. If so is there some kind of a stop start needed?

I copied BeautifulSoup.py to the python library, in my case it is called python2.7.
Nothing else to do.
My application works.
