Question about playing 720p video on beagleboard

Hi, I'm working on beagleboard from same weeks, to realize a
multimedia platform able to play video in HD quality (720p).

I tried to play video using the TI codec with gstreamer, but
unfortunately the maximum resolution supported is 480p (854x480), so
now I would to understand if is possible to play video at 720p

ethernet interfaces

From what I can see there are only two ethernet interface available
for the beagleboard, the tincan one,
and one from [link],
although I can't see the word "beagle" on that page.
Both are SPI interfaced. Is this the only option? I am concerned that

In the latest system reference manual, the external DC power
requirement is described as:

"8.2.2 Wall Supply Source
A wall supply can be used to provide power to the board. A regulated
5V DC supply of at
least 500mA is required. It needs to have a 2.1mm plug with a center
hot configuration."

Hey i just finish to install the OS (kfce of ubuntu) on my BB and im
trying to connect to my wifi at home.

1) I have a usb wifi adapter of Edimax and another one, TREDnet -
TEW-424UB, does this cards will work on the BB?

2) I change the Interface file and add these lines:

auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp

i have compiled and downloaded the embinux source from:http://

After that i put the gst.conf in the Sdcard and mount the sdcard
according the website ,and i can play the video through the UI,
however when i try to do "gst-launch-0.10 playbin2 uri=file:///sdcard/

Hi,

I am trying to compile "openssh" package to the rootfs using OE for angstrom
distro. But not successful so far.

This is what I have done:

- Add this line to /recipes/images/console-image :
ANGSTROM_EXTRA_INSTALL ?= "openssh"
- Then I run:
bitbake console-image.

The compilation was successful, but the openssl package is not compiled into

I recently purchased DevKit8000 board from the Embest, I think the
android demo on it is really interesting which I am plan to try some
application porting on it.
Do the manufacturer could give me some help or we can discuss about
it here?
Is there anybody who has something to share with me about it?

beagle and u-boot v2?

just trying to catch up with recent developments -- what's the deal
with the beagleboard and using the current dev branch of u-boot v2?
if that's usable, i'll just migrate over and stop using v1. and what
are the plans for the next release of the BB? would u-boot v2 be too
leading edge for that?
