All new orders will be for Rev C starting now. Same part number, same
price.

The system reference manual has been updated. The training
presentation and website will be updated in a few days.

Hi,

Digi-Key doesn't seem to have updated its website to reflect the availability of the Rev C.

Regards,

Just curious -- does anyone have an estimate of how many Beagle's have shipped so far?

I have two! :)

just a snippet of info:
digikey sells rev c, but the picture on their web page is still that
of a rev B. The video connector for rev C is at a different place, and
on the old place are now holes for the lcd signals.

So, how solid is the Rev C? Is there any known hardware issue that are going to be fixed in later revisions?
Can we get some insights on how the validation process is driven?

Regards,
Ilyes Gouta.

All of the known issues are covered in a blank table in the System Reference Manual. We have been working with it for several months now. The only significant change is the USB Host and the added memory. It also has a new UBoot.

There are no known issues to be fixed in later HW revisions. There is a later revision coming, but it has nothing to do with fixing any known issues. It adds grounded mounting holes that was requested by several people in the community.

the pic at digikey appears to be that of the rev B. the dead
giveaway is the lack of the 2 20-pin connectors for access to the LCD
signals, which you can see at the very beginning of the C2 system
reference manual.

The picture is indeed Rev C. It is in the process of being updated by D/K today. There are plenty of pretty pictures in the System Reference Manual.

I just received my order from d/k placed 3/25. It seems that they
stuck a Rev C sticker on a box clearly marked B7 and sent it to me.
They are trying to fix the situation, but they are out of stock.

my (alleged) C2 is, according to UPS, "out for delivery", which
means it should arrive here a bit later today. as soon as it gets
here, i'll let you know what's in the box. the invoice for that order
clearly reads "REV C".

The board was a B7, clearly labeled, inside and out. My invoice
clearly says Rev C. Digikey agrees, but have not called me back yet
with more info. I'm waiting, and it is a Friday. I really wanted to
check it out this weekend.

There were about 10 rev B7 boards left and we had them pull them so they would start shipping Rev C2. Sounds like their stock room screwed up and grabbed the wrong box.

i'm in the same position. if they shipped the wrong rev, i'm going
to be more than a little pissed.

hilariously, i just phoned digikey in minnesota to see if they could
verify the rev that was shipped and, just as the customer rep came on
the line, UPS showed up at my door. i did, in fact, get a C2 rev.

Well, I just spoke again with customer service at D/K. They were
going to send me a new board overnight (meaning Monday), but called to
say that the warehouse people have determined that there are no more
in stock, and will not be until June 21 (? I think). I'm not sure
that I believe the details, but the fact seems to be that there are no
more on hand.

Customer support seemed to indicate that some other people may have
the wrong board coming as well. I am disappointed but not 'pissed'.
I have done business with D/K for a long time and this is not the
first time things have gone wrong, but I don't know of anyone who does
any better. They are always helpful and work hard to straighten
things out. I am just thankful that it it not me that has to keep
those millions of parts in the right bins. That is definitely not my
strength.

But if you are expecting one of the first run of Rev C boards, look
it over carefully when it arrives.

I'm glad to hear that. It is what I suspected. I don't know where
they got that date. It kind of sounded like the warehouse people were
feeding the poor customer service woman a line...

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest a compatible case and touchscreen for the Beagle Board Rev C?

I'm thinking the Rev B case from Special Computing is compatible w/ the Rec C board but haven't confirmed. Touchscreen should connect to Rev C board using an existing connector and have driver support (wo me having to find or write one).

Thanks in advance,

Well, I hope my board is a Rev C. I placed the order on 3/25. The
problem is I live in Brazil and the Beagle has already been shipped on
3/26 by International Express Mail (UPS shipping was $100 :O). It's
not simple to have these parts returned from here. I was already
worried about revision mismatch and now I will have to wait 5-10 days
in agony until I have the answer... :(

Both USB EHCI and LCD raw output are important to me.

The case is not compatible with REV C. The DVI-D connector moved on the Rev C board.
