All,

There is a lot of misinformation going around about BeagleBoard availability. So, just for the record, we resume shipments on January 15th, 2010. Please do not listen to the distributor lead times. None of them have asked me anything so anything they quote is a wild guess on their part. Once they receive the boards, I expect that some for the boards will be used to clear back orders. I don't exactly know how long that will take. We are currently building 3600 boards which should get things rolling again.

Thank you for your Patience and please try not to spread wild dates from the distributors!

Thanks!

Gerald

Thank you Gerald, That is very cool.

A quick question about Rev C4, will it have a protection circuit or
whatever is needed for the HDMI framer so that it can be hotplugged?
:-)

Merry Christmas,
-Fred

If any time of protection is added, it can affect the signal. The datasheet expressly says not to add anything. In fact, when it goes out, it actually does not go out. The level drops enough that some monitors no longer work. If you plug it into a cheap monitor, in most cases it will work fine.

Gerald.

Gerald,

I think it would help a lot if the "current BB shipping state" would be
the most prominent item on www.beagleboard.org. At the moment it is the
"buy" button which leads to DK and their "march" shipping date...

Regards,

Vladimir

That's a very good idea!

And btw: I love the "Latest News"-stream. I check it daily. Sure, it's
not 100% beagle related it keeps me up to date with whats going on..

Cheers,

I've got a C3 board I'm not using anymore. Rather than wait another
two weeks, anybody want it?

I'm just looking to cover my costs ($150 + $10 original shipping) + $5
priority mail -- let's say $165 and I'll ship it by tomorrow (in US).

Thanks,
Gordon
