There is a big difference between a healthy debate with a normal unbiased
individual in the absence of an agenda and debating with a troll. Ignoring
logic, reasonning,  and the truth or facts, in any debate is simply irrational.
Furthermore, you guys can\'t see that he\'s provoking or baiting everyone just to
get a \"rouse of them\". This is a far cry from \"having a differnce of an opinion\".
catchme, while you have been raised by a Naval Man, I was raised by an RCMP Detachment
Commander. I have heard more than enough stories. It\'s too bad that your experiences
have been \"corruptive\" . Not knowing what your father did in the Navy, it sounds like
he didn\'t think much for himself if he shares a similar opinion.  The mind-set you are
referring to breeds only \"soldiers\" who are not capable of cognitive reasoning. They
blindly follow instructions, like a robot.
FWIW, my retired father and his retired cop friends are completely disgusted at what
current peace officers are doing, in particularly the RCMP. Long gone are the days
when a cop took the time to communicate with people or to try to calm the person
who is in distress. Now, it\'s Taser him/her,\" I am too busy to create a non threatening
environment, if you don\'t immediately do as I say, I am taserng you. If you don\'t speak
English, I don\'t care.\"

Debating with likes of Dave Smith exhausts one\'s emotional and physical energy.
In addition, it\'s futile to even attempt to change a troll\'s behavior or way of
thinking.   Their goal is to sow uncertainty and doubt within the group. This \"
trolling\" is a \"mind-game to them and they always have to get the last word-in while
their antagonistic behavior nourishes their grossly inflated ego. Condoning or even
justifying their behavior, is like the abusive wife or spouse
that continues to hold onto their relationship because she feels that she can
\"change her abusive husband\'s ways or behavior. LOL.
