Is that why you've always voted for the Liberals or the NDP, Dobranski? - Because you're in
agreement with their principles?

My teenage years were spent under the Mulroney gov't, my father had a

trucking business, we all worked for it including mom and our family always

did very well. Mulroney's second term was some of the leanest times I can

ever remember. Our business was heavily dependant on the forest industry

and the recession hurt us because nobody was buying wood. Then the free

trade agreement put the last nail in the coffin of our business, it was the

justification the Americans needed to hit us with the softwood duty and

local industry just collapsed. Tory times are tough times. My grandmother

(born 1903) observed that every time Canada has a conservative government it

has a recession. I've voted Liberal or NDP ever since.
