Vote for someone different each and every election. This gives them a
maximum of 4 years and impacts their pension. Once you do that for 2-3
elections, turffing the incombant for lies and broken promises, maybe you
will get someone who isn't a polished liar.
Problem is, we have accepted it in Canada. And no need to. It is also why
Harpo isn't getting my vote next time.

One problem is that government expands it spending, and then when cutbacks
come we have to justify an elephant sized government to protect the 7% they
spend on health care, While ignoring government costs of just running the
plutocracy now is up to 30% of gross budget. Far too many $100,000+ civil
servants. Or the massive amounts of transfers. Transfers, I call the great
Canadian bribe fund.
That is the Canadian way, bribe us with our own money.
Tony Soprano who be in heat to be in Canadian government. Even loan sharks
asked for less than the what many pay in income taxes. Americans were taxed
less when they did the Boston tea party and revolution. I don't think Tony
would limit his envy to the PM office, McGoonties office would keep him
happy.
I for one, refuse to vote for hand picked by the plutocracy representatives
from the major arties. They no longer represent the majority of people
first.
