Folding Support for Unix Shell Scripting

When writing UNIX Shell scripts (KSH and Bash) BBEdit does not support
the auto-folding option. Manual creation of folding is however
supported.
Is there a way to add this feature?
Or is it possible to add this feature to the existing language support
by the user self? If so, where is a description on how to do that?
