Good { morning, afternoon, evening },

A new 10.0.2 pre-release build is now available.

Note that this is a _pre-release_ version. The intent is to fix
bugs and address areas of improvement based on what our
customers have reported. However, since the software is at this
point not fully tested, there _may_ be bugs and regressions. If
this prospect makes you nervous, then sticking with the public
release versions is your best course of action. Nobody will be
offended if you choose to do so; you're under no obligation to
install and use anything but a public release. :-)

Following is a summary of the changes in the software since the
last public release. The change notes are organized into
additions, changes, and fixes, and are annotated where
appropriate with case numbers. So if you recognize a number
corresponding to a support case that was opened for you, you can
now verify that it's been fixed correctly.

One final note: If you run into a bug in a pre-release version,
PLEASE DO NOT REPORT THE BUG TO THE LIST. This includes asking
about whether others have seen the same problem. Instead, please
send a bug report to <sup...@barebones.com> and we will deal
with it there. This will help us keep the list discussion on
topic and productive for all list members.

============================================================================

version 10.0.2 (3099) (9/22/2011)

Additions
-------

o (none in this build)

Changes
-------

* If you want your full-screen windows to consume screen real estate
like a hungry wumpus, then by all means:

`defaults write com.barebones.bbedit
FullScreenWindowsHogScreen -bool YES`

Otherwise, the default behavior is to pick a reasonable
width based
on the view's contents and the defaults saved by "Save Default
Window".

Fixes
-----

* [219008, 219056] [NFR] When using a project as a multi-file search
or text factory target, items at the top level are checked
to make
sure that none of them are nested in others, to avoid duplicate
searches. So, for example, if a project contained these items:

~/svn/trunk/
~/git/
~/svn/trunk/SurfWriterApp/

then ~/svn/trunk/ and ~/git/ will be searched, but the SurfWriterApp
directory will not, since otherwise its contents would be searched
twice.

* [219606] Fixed bug in which multi-file search would fail when
encountering a file that looked enough like a Zip archive
to pass
the test, but which wasn't really a Zip archive.

* [219537, 219540] When typing an incompletely qualified URL (e.g.
`http://www.apple.com` instead of `http://www.apple.com/`)
into the
Open File by Name window, BBEdit will now postulate the
path instead
of reporting an error.

* [219387] Fixed bug in which dragging the last document from a
non-front window's Currently Open Documents list into the Currently
Open Documents list of the front window would cause the
latter to
(incorrectly) close and leave an empty window behind.

Surely that's redundant, all wumpuses are hungry.

But some wumpuses *are* hungrier than others...
