Hello,

Long time TW user & BBEdit admirer.

I've got a folder mounted on my Mac via ethernet from a windows
machine.
The folder is a branch of a large website but I'm not doing SVN. It's
just a folder on my mac.

I drag the folder to BBEdit (demo) and it loads it up nicely in the
Disk Browser.

If I right click the folder in the Disk browser, and reveal in finder,
the files are there.

If I drag the folder to any other app (say, Coda or Textmate, and
expand the folder, all the files show up).

This is happening on a brand new imac (with barely anything
installed).

Appreciate any help. will jump on a license order if i can sort this
out.

thanks

You may wish to fiddle with the "Text Files Only" setting in the
popup menu at the bottom of the disk browser's file list.

Alternatively, depending on what the files are, you may find it
useful to map their filename extensions to an appropriate
language in the Languages preferences -- by default, any file
not recognizable as text by its metadata is assumed to be text
if it's got a mapping to a language.

Enjoy,

R.

Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they
sedate me.

Excuse the stupidity, but I somehow failed to state what the problem
is in the original post.

When the folder is loaded in the Disk Browser, and I try and expand a
subfolder to see the files in it, no files are shown in BBEdit.
It appears as if the folder was empty, when it is most certainly not.

Rich,

Disabling "Text Files Only" did it. My files show up just fine now.

Thank you for the help, and ignore the previous message, I initially
missed your reply.
