Subject: Add Adjacency Information to a ResNet Input File
Dear BBCL Group

I have run Resnet over the web via the ConsNet Portal and I saw there
is an option for processing input files. In my study, I would add
adjacency information to the input file, but I did not see any
explaination about this operating process, expecially for the "Minimum
distance between centroids" and "Maximum distance between centroids"
options. Does any distance value can be set to these options? What
will happen after we assign paticular values to them?

Another question is about the common "Upload and select ResNet
file"option. Does it need us to prepare an input file with the format
described in the manual and, for example, fill the columns 4 -13 with
"0" before adding adjacency information? Or we just need to import
other datas to the input file and the adjacency information will be
automatically added to the correct locations after we set all the
parameters to the correspongding "adjacency" options?

Thanks

Gao

Hi Gao...

With respect to the input file format, you need to fill columns 4 - 13
with
"0" before adding adjacency information. The matrix should be complete
before adding that info
and before running the program, either through the web site of the
downloadable
version.

Another option is to use the ConsNet program. The input file for this
program is basically
the same, except that you don't need the 4 - 13 columns in it. You can
look at it at the
same site as the ResNet program

Hope this works.

Patricia
