Podcast: Exploring Twitter for Blackberry

Hi everyone,

 

You might like to listen to the podcast I have just released, which looks at the Twitter for Blackberry app.

 

Whilst the app is very accessible, the fact that my Blackberry is crashing regularly is making using this, and other apps difficult. I am going to try a software update on the device to see if this makes any difference. I understand that Loreal is not having the crashing issue, but another friend here in Ireland is.

Hi
Just wanted to thank you for putting together the podcast on the screen
reader. I appreciate your honest review. If you don't mind me asking
are you totally blind or do you have some sight? Does the BlackBerry
crash without running screen reader? I will be picking up a Curve from
Verizon here in the States so I will be loading the screen reader.
Perhaps we can all work together to isolate the bugs so that RIM can at
least have an issue log. What is your primary device? I am partial
sighted, I have always loved the BlackBerry line of phones but the
accessibility or lack thereof has always disappointed me. I have used
iPhone and Android and so far iPhone is the best at providing out of the
box accessibility features. Android is coming along but has a long way
to go, RIM has a great opportunity to jump into the # 2 spot if they put
forth the effort.

Thanks a lot for the podcast Stuart. I'm happy to hear that Twitter app is accessible! Did you have a chance to test the Facebook app as well?

I've been using the facebook app successfully from the start.  The only thing which I do need to make RIM aware of is the fact that the button to upload photos is unlabeled and the button to update your status is mislabeled at this time and says "Upload Photo" instead of what it should.
