Summer With Sondheim Conservatory

This summer, Curtain Call Performing Arts will be offering a Musical Theatre Training program, designed especially for Teen Actors. The program provides an intense and diverse curriculum to develop your teen's skills in all disciplines of acting in musical theatre, including acting and improve coaching, dance, stage combat, vocal training and more. Students will be coached by working theater professionals, who will share their expertise in these areas, as well as their experiences working in this exciting profession. Additionally, the program will have limited enrollment, giving each actor the one-on-one training they won’t get with an ordinary summer program.

The six-week program will begin June 18th and will run through July 20th, with classes three days per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 9am-1pm at the San Leandro Arts Education Center. There is no class the week of July 2. This summer, the program will focus on the works of Stephen Sondheim and will culminate in a weekend of performances of Sondheim’s Into the Woods, July 27-29. The tuition for the 6-week program is $350 (includes costume fees). Scholarships and payment plans may be available to qualified families.
