Dear Bay Area Population Genomicists,
We are getting excited for the 6th BAPG meeting (May 26th UC Davis), and are sending you all a brief update. For more information see http://gcbias.org/2012/05/14/bapg-schedule/ which includes a complete schedule as well as transportation info. We thank the UC Davis center for population biology and the graduate group of population biology for sponsorship for the meeting.
Registration: More than 60 people have already registered. If you plan to attend but have not yet registered please do so by Friday, May 18th (four days from now) so we can prepare food and drinks. To register, visit http://tinyurl.com/72wd9xr, and click the registration tab at the bottom.
Speakers: We have finalized a strong and diverse group of speakers - three students (Ethan Jewitt, Benjamin Peter and Sarah Sheehan) and three postdocs (Yaniv Brandvain, Tanja Pyhäjärvi, and Alan Bergland) with equal representation from Davis, Berkley and Stanford. Posters: We currently have four students and three postdocs presenting posters, and are welcoming poster registration until Friday May 18th (via http://tinyurl.com/72wd9xr ). The poster session at the last BAPG was excellent and we hope to build on our recent success!!
