Dear Friends:
Last week I attended a great panel at the California Historical Society on covering rural California, from the perspective of SF-based producers. It was fascinating, with lively tape. It made me realize that I had planned to hold another of our listening/critique sessions for Bay Area indies, but had never gotten around to it. I would love to get together with anyone interested in having a Bay Area listening party, a Sonic Soiree (I might invite a graduate student or two from State.)
But, where and when? Let me propose two dates and once we have a date people are interested in – or perhaps two – we can find the best place to hold this. In the past we have met in Berkeley, but maybe it’s time for a meet-up in San Francisco, where I am, as usual, teaching my radio documentary classes as SF State.
So, as to date: what about Sunday, March 24th (aft. or pm)? Or the following Sunday, March 31st in the evening (that’s Easter!) Or the following day Monday, April 1st.) If you could get back to me directly, I can summarize our responses as to the best date and time: Dun...@unm.edu
Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you all and hearing your latest work and projects in process. And I’ll bring some tasty treats.
David K. Dunaway, Ph.D.
