Subject: upload of products
I was reviewing my first attempt to upload google products.  got lots
of questions, that I hope someone can help me with

A.  In my settings, I am getting an error of "missing condition
values"  what does this mean?

B.  Also looks like I accidently uploaded twice.

1, .  company name shortened -- has photos but no customer reviews
2.  full company name  -- no photos, but has 19 customer reviews.
Looks like this one does not show up when I do a product search, but
#1 does.

Please help me consolidate

I am due to manual upload today or tomorrow.

C.  Finally,  Auto upload from my site, give me an error -- illegal
line -- this is a yahoo store, I cannot change my catalog/obinfo file.

thanks!)

Subject: Re: upload of products
(a) this is a new required attribute -- condition;
set its value to one of new, used, or refurbished.

(b) you should have one-and-only-one file registered
and submitted to google-base; use the same exact file
for all item changes, additions, or deletions; also,
it can sometimes take 72-hours to fully process a
feed for any item changes, additions, or deletions.

a new feed means someone at google-base might need to
approve the items and website; this can take a week
or more to complete; what's your website or authorid?

(c) i would make certain the auto-upload is set to
about once-a-week or more until all the processing
issues have been resolved; catalog and objinfo files
aren't usable on google-base by default.

there are three methods to submit items from yahoo.

(1) actually, i would recommend to *stop* all auto-uploads,
delete any feed files, and try the xml-export-option in
your yahoo merchant-account preferences; google-base then
should begin to pick up your items in about a month.

(2) otherwise, you would need to translate the
catalog or objinfo file into some format that
google-base can understand.

(3) store-connector is another option -- you might
try and see how that works for you first; however,
only *one* of these three methods are allowed.

wow, thanks so much for your insight!

3.  storeconnector, store connection fails message has been coming on
for last week ... have no idea how to fix -- used the yahoo id
[email address], then it is the password, not the security key, right?
tried both with and without yahoo.com

2.  tried auto load objinfo.xml, google base did not recognize line 1
-- since I cannot do anything with that file, guess that method will
not work for me -- right?

1.  good old manual way, thanks for the "conditions" will add.  So
much thanks for the product_types link, I had used the last category
instead of the whole thread.  I have made the changes and uploaded txt
file.  I will wait patiently for 72 hours to see what happens....

thanks again!

A. Every item under product must have a valid condition attribute
either new, used or refurbished

B. How can you tell that ?

Can you provide more detail on the dups and links to the places your
seeing them ?

C. Is this the full error and what exact URL are you submitting ?

I am receiving this same message of missing condition.  I have my feed
done automatically through EBAY for my store.  I use the Ebay option
of putting new in the condition box when I create each store item, I
do not leave it blank.  In the description of my auctions there is a
statement that all items are new.

So is this something that Ebay should be doing in the data feed file?
Is there something I can do to correct this?

Thank you,

Jennifer

on the ebay side when the condition box
is filled out either use the word new
or the word used or the word refurbished --
absolutely nothing else.

in theory, when ebay then generates a listing,
the condition attribute should contain a value
that's valid for google-base.

see here for valid attributes and values:
http://base.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=73932

generally, google-base requirements need to be
kept in mind when creating ebay items for sale.

Celebird,

I do do that...with every auction.  I am sure to choose from the
options of new or used under the condition box and never leave it
blank.  Yet I still have the missing conditions error for 100% of my
listings.

Thank you for your response.  I think that ebay just doesn't generate
the condition value and there is nothing I can do if I use the auto
data feed that is generated.

I will do some research and see what I can figure out.

Thanks again,

Jennifer

They give us two automatic feeds. One is the standard file which is

http://esssl.ebay.com/GetListings/pureindulgencewomensboutique

the other is supposedly google base specific

http://esssl.ebay.com/GetListings/pureindulgencewomensboutique?fmt=g

I have it working so it automatically updates and all listings are
fine except for the missing condition.

I looked at the html and didn't see any condition value, all the
others are there.  I think this is something out of my hands, unless
maybe contacting ebay about it.

Thanks,

Jennifer

i see the condition attribute with the value New
in your google-specific feed; however, google-base
is probably looking for a g:condition attribute.

maybe you can point this out to ebay.

see the example here:
