Looking for a way to get the message to Google base regarding our uploads. We received two emails today letting us know that we need to include MPNs and ISBN in our uploads.
We already have ISBN as one of the fields that we upload and if there is an ISBN we include it. Many of our books do not have ISBN because they are collectibles.
As for MPNs, etc. we sell vintage photo accessories and cameras, unique artwork, handcrafted jewelry, etc,,, that do not fit into this categorization. We do not sell mass market items.
What is the best way to communicate with Google Base to correct this setting on our upload?
Thanks for whatever assistance you can offer.

Most of our products are main stream and don't have all those fields either. 95% of our books do not have a UPC. when we have one we include it. My best guess for the MPN numbers are the ISBNs which are submitted, but not for all of them. We get our inventory from a distributor which gets tham from many manufacturers. I know some of the manufacturers do not use the ISBN number for the item number. What about those?

id just put in an isbn attribute for books. i dont think you need the mpn or upc for those types of items.
if your items arent mass market, i wouldnt worry about it. in those cases, no one selling similar items is going to have ups/mpn numbers, so there's no way for google to use that info to categorize your items. in the end, nothing will happen to your search results.

We do include the ISBN number already. And I would like to not worry about it in the hopes that nothing will change, but the email they sent me today says other wise.
We also have some products that aren't mass market. What about them?

We received a nice note from Chris in reply to our email. Am sharing it to a) show how great support is and b) in case others in our situation have similar questions. We plan to include whatever information we are able for the items that correspond to these requirements.
Hello Lynne and Ted,
Thank you for your reply. If these unique identifiers aren''t relevant to all items in your bulk upload file, you may leave these attributes blank for these items. This includes any books that weren''t assigned an ISBN or books that predate ISBN values as well products not assigned UPC or MPN values. Please know that your items not including these values won''t be removed from our search results at this time.
If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reply to this email.
> check out the "upc, mpn and isbn attributes thread". sounds like not > having those attributes for non mass market products is okay.
