Why the startup?
I have been frustrated with real-estate search sites available in Spain. I am not sure if there are good ones in Spanish, but the tools I have seen in English were lacking the features I think are crucial: maps, usability and finding desired properly quickly. Hence, I have created http://restat.es.
Whom are you looking for?
I am searching for co-founder with native/fluent Spanish, some knowledge of Rails and frontend development, and strong motivation to become part of this emerging product. I expect this person to have excellent communication skills and with entrepreneurial spirit.
What is the business model like?
I have some ideas for the business model and things that will make us different. However, I believe in Lean Statup model and still in "getting out of the building" stage.
How much am I going to be paid?
There are no revenues yet, nor any external funding. It is up to us to decide whether to get funding and how to generate revenues. You can be either full-time employed and be ready to spend on average 3-4 hours a day, or have savings to work unpaid. The equity split will be negotiated accordingly.
Why do you need someone?
I strongly believe the successful business is all about the right set of skills in the team and execution. I personally have skills in backend Rails development, scalability, deployment, startups and business development. However, I am foreigner in Spain, do not speak any Spanish, nor I know the local business culture and environment. Hence, finding the right person with matching skills is important for me.
