learning-by-doing workshops

Daniel and I were talking last year about a different way of sharing knowledge which would be more productive and give participants more fun than just sitting in the room and listening to a talk. We believe in learning-by-doing and we'd like to give an opportunity to the participants to get their hands dirty ;)

This is how the http://www.meetup.com/bcn-coding-bootcamp/ has been born.

It will start with a workshop in which we're going to show you how easy is to create an iPhone twitter client using StoryBoards and ARC (means you don't have to take care about memory management by yourself).

The next workshops will be proposed and voted by the community and everybody can become a teacher :)

We hope you will enjoy it :)

Cool, that's exactly what I was talking last year in the couple of days I went to the meetings at Xing. You guys have a great community in Barcelona and should take advantage of that doing more coding meetings or dojos.

I'm glad you're taking this path now, but I also feel sorry (for me) b/c I won't be able to attend since I'm back to Brazil =(

Anyway, congrats for the initiative.

You could have proposed one of your workshops to the list...but you
never did...not trying to start a flame war here but I don't think BCN
on rails doors have been closed to anyone who wanted to propose any
ideas.
