Ruby summer in Barcelona

Hola,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Ivan Turkovic and I am coming from Slovenia. I am planning on moving to Barcelona for few months or who knows maybe more :)

So my plan is to move there to improve my spanish to much better level and be more proficient in it. Since I regard myself as a geek who loves coding and does it most of it in ruby (almost 4.5 years of professional experience) I have joined this group to meet some ruby fellows and maybe to get any ruby gig on the way.

Are there any ruby meet ups happening regularly over there? Is there a need for any ruby dev help? I have quite few US contracts available but I thought I would be more immersed into learning spanish if I would work with some local guys :)

we hold our meetings the 3rd Thursday of the month at Xing offices, we
usually announce them a few days in advance.

What kind of meetings do you have in mind?

We used to do extreme meetings. We take our shirts off , drinks lots
of beer and code real fast!

there are some talk proposals every month and we do one or two. 

Just try to make it to any of the meetings on the 3rd Thursday each month as thetouringmachine said, and you'll find great people that can help you.

There are a handful of companies looking for Ruby devs in Barcelona too.
