Hey Marc,

Wow, all these great tech events going on at the same time, and
all at the Contemporary Resort (which is also really cool).

It would be fun to throw together a MiniBarCamp around that time.
Since all these events are at the same location, is one of the events
willing to give us some free space for such an event?

I am involved in the organization of two events in Orlando in October
2009

WikiSym is the International Symposium on Wikis and Open
Collaboration, the symposium (conference) and community of wiki and
open collaboration researchers and practitioners world-wide. WikiSym
2009 will take place in Orlando, Florida, Oct 25-27,

We will have once you pick a time and place to do it!

I have been talking about doing this type of event before the first
BarCamp Orlando, but there has been no organizational steam behind it.

At the very least, pick a date and place to have the first meeting to
talk about it.

I thought this year's BarCamp was excellent - I especially loved that
the Media and Dev were combined to one day as opposed to separate like
in 2008. I picked the wrong day last year, but this year I got it all.
[I didn't have to pick which nerds I love more...]

I hope you always keep them together....

I think thats what they did last year. Had it out in the middle of
the alley. But the board was 1/2 or 1/3 the size last year, which
made it easier to pull this off.
