Hi Tony:

Just a reminder to pull today's distribution of male/female and
desired sizes from eventbrite, to pass to Alicia and Josh for ordering
today.

I thought we were doing that Monday?

I can compile the data later today if need be.

Josh requested Friday would ensure not-late-tees

OK, while I pull up the numbers... what say we about ordering some Small tees, given that we didn't account for that in the survey?

Small =  7
Medium = 73
Large =  40
XL =     29
XXL =    7
Total =  150

... and Peter just updated with percentages, so I won't bother with that...

So if we're ordering 225 shirts, then:

Small  = 225 x 4%  = 9 shirts + I rounded down the others, so 2 more = 11 shirts
Medium = 225 x 49% = 110 shirts
Large  = 225 x 27% = 60 shirts
XL     = 225 x 15% = 33 shirts
XXL    = 225 x 5%  = 11 shirts

Josh, how's that for you?

As for color, the current vote tally per Peter's earlier email is tied between White and Red.

I've made these the finalists and put up a poll: http://twtpoll.com/c1irwj

Vote away!

Should we post this to the BarCamp Twitter account as well and let the people decide?

I tweeted the Poll link, as we only got two votes (one white, one red) and might as well involve the people wearing the shirts in the process :-)

The poll makes it sound like red shirts, which are my favorite!
They're nice and punchy. The white is a nice refreshing contrast to
the red.

RE: Printing both red and white tees — they'd be totally different
screen designs which would drive up the cost.

We'll run the numbers for the shirts today, just need to finalize the
total numbers of tees. If it's ok with everyone else I think we'll
normalize the number of smalls to match up with our normal
distribution, and go with 20% female tees (we usually wind up with a
surplus of ladies shirts because some women take mens for size
reasons)

Stay tuned,
Josh

RE: women's size shirts. I am assuming that you are printing on AA and the reason that women take the men's shirts is cause they are unisex, and female cut AA shirts are not flattering. As a girl I vote that we order all men's shirts. It makes things less complicated and the girls won't complain, I promise.

If we aren't printing on AA then it's a whole other story.

I highly advocate for doing 20% of the shirts in female sizes.

While it does complicate things slightly, I believe it is well worth
it in exchange for sending the signal that women are welcome.

We're printing on Gildan, American Apparel would add 1.50 to 2.50 per
shirt, cost prohibitive. I think Girl tees are probably a good idea,
whenever we don't offer a shirt in them we get emails about it.

Here's the distribution we cooked up, based on a combination of
survey, insanely great tees sales and last years shirt order. Take a
look, we'll be placing the order either late today or Monday AM.

Mens:
Small 24

Medium 67

Large 45

XL 34

XXL 10

Womens:

S 12

M 15

L 18

Womens total: 45, 20% of total.

Grand Total: 225 tees.
