With a date and venue secured, let's meet next week to do a status check on Sponsorships (CKS), Food (Eric + Noel), Budget (Rachel), T-shirts (Josh), Equipment (Anders + Kelly?), Tracks, Misc (basic supplies, registration form, promotion plan, etc.)
Does lunchtime work well for people? How about Monday? Any day but Wednesday and Friday works for me.

Honestly, I only have an hour for lunch, and I don't have sick time to keep taking off... *shakes fist at 'the man'* Would it be possible to meet after 5 or 6?
My classes start on Sept 6th (M/W night classes), but any other night would be better for me, since to get to Shake Shack is about a 20-25 minute */run*/ one way... (Meaning ~50 minutes round trip and 10 minutes for the actual meeting...)
Venue Question: MSFT is providing projectors for all rooms (already plugged and surge-protected I assume), as well as wireless routers? Basically then, all we need is Mac adapters, someone to set up the routers and someone 'on call' (pick me pick me!) to reboot the routers if the flow gets to be too much for them. Perhaps a fileserver? I can bring my Linux box if I get the USB wireless card working with it. It's not a real server, but it's decently spec'ed. (1gig ram, couple hundred gig HD.)
Thinking out loud: we should probably have a dedicated router for presentations only.
I'll write the recording guy and see what he can bring, and then post the date/venue to NYLUG/Systers for some word of mouth.
Did we want the recording guy early for a "setting up" sketch like last time?

Unfortunately, I'm out of the country next week but a possible place could be Teaspot (127 Macdougal). They have free WiFi and a nice basement which I have used for other small gatherings, planning meetings, etc.
Hello... I've been a'lurkin and would like to get involved with this event. I have lots of experience planning events. Could you let me know the final decision regarding date, time and place? Many thanks.

I would be more than happy to do anything I can upon my return to ny on monday. If you guys have a task that needs to be done, pelase let me know.
Until then, I hope the meet goes well and you enjoy the venue. It was one of my regular squatting spots when it opened because of it's convenience and the fact that it is a healthy alternative to *$'s.

I might be a bit late - they changed the class schedule without telling anyone, so I didn't find out until I got there yesterday. (20-odd kids waiting outside the door confused as hell is an amusing sight...)
It's only a first class, so it might be 15 minutes, not a full 2 hrs. If it IS a full 2 hrs (and I have a feeling it will be), I'll be getting out at 7:45, which still /may/ work, I just might not get there until around 8 after travel. I'm not sure how long the meeting will last though. Any ideas?
I hope the class is a short one as I'd really like to attend...

Except for the schedule change and the location, ditto. I'm about 1 hour away and I have a class which could get out anywhere between 6:30 and 8:00.

btw, this is my first BarCamp. Is google groups the only place people talk online? #barcamp on freenode is pretty dead. Anyone who needs help with something for BarCamp feel free to send me an email, I don't have a clue what I'll be doing at BarCamp.
I might not be able to make it for tonight's meeting. We're still in orientation mode for the new semester. But I am willing to help in anything that I can towards the organization of BarCamp. Please include my name... in any committee that needs help.
