I am planning my trip to FOWA and was thinking of attending the
barcamp. How many attendees are there generally? The site (http://
barcamp.org/barcampmiami) is listing about twelve and there is only
one topic planned for presentation. Are you expecting more activity
as we get closer to Feb. 22nd?
It seems like all the action has been at the Eventbrite page
(http://barcampmiami.eventbrite.com/), but last time it was packed.
Also, the events are usually planned and posted at the event itself
instead of in advance. I just posted mine out of convenience in case
someone was interested in seeing.

Farhan,
Really last year we had 300 or so show up. This year I expect 400-450.
If you are coming in for FOWA and are into meeting lots of people, I
definitely recommend it.
Like rick said, the stuff doesn't get posted til the day of.
Cheers,
Brian

Farhan, the wiki page is a small part of BarCamp. As Rick says, all
the action is at the EventBrite page, where if you scroll down you
will see that about 180 people have already signed up. This year's
Eventbrite page is at:

Thanks a lot for all the replies. I was wondering because even at a fairly
small city like Madison, WI, the bar camps are bigger than twelve people
that I was seeing on the wiki :) I was on EventBrite at one time, but got
kinda lost among the three sites.
I know of a company that might be interested in sponsorship, I will
follow-up. We are a bootstrapped startup ourselves and fairly early in the
lifecycle, but I will see if we can contribute. Just out of curiosity, how
many sponsors are you looking for?
Also, I can probably do a presentation on django, if people are interested.
With this barcamp and FOWA, this should be an exciting week. I am looking
forward to meeting everyone!
